Menu for the week of February 28 to March 3

Monday, February 28
Spaghetti Marinara and Meatballs
Garlic Bread

Tuesday, March 1
Homemade Wonton Soup
Crisp Wontons
It's a very simple chicken soup. The Wonton make it outstanding. Yes, I will be making the wontons from scratch. Served with the crispy wonton

Wednesday, March 2
Glazed Chicken Breast
Cranberry Sauce
Garlic Red Mashed Potatoes

Thursday, March 3
Pulled Pork Sandwiches
Cole Slaw
This is my husband's favorite side dish that I make. The pulled pork and coleslaw really compliment each other.

Menu for the week of February 21 to February 24

Monday, February 21
Shepherd's Pie
I slow-cook the roast beef and vegetables until they are absolutely tender. Is there anything better than homemade mashed potatoes? They top this wonderful dish with a touch of cheese.

Tuesday, February 22
Chicken Noodle Soup
Bread

Wednesday, February 23
Chicken Cacciatore
Buttered Egg Noodles

Thursday, February 24
French Dip with Au Jus
Macaroni Salad
Tender beef, melted cheese, and a drenching in flavorful au jus --what’s not to love? Unlike most french dips this sandwich is not filled with deli sliced meat, rather, lean beef that has been roasted to perfection.

Menu for the week of February 14 to February 17

Monday, February 14
Manicotti
French Bread
Wonderful hand-rolled pasta with a homemade tomato sauce. Outstanding.

Tuesday, February 15
Loaded Baked Potato Soup
Bread
This is my favorite soup. It is a salute to the mighty potato. I use the potato in four different ways. Add a slice of bread and oh my, what's not to love.

Wednesday, February 16
Chicken Marsala
Lightly Buttered Egg Noodles
Tender chicken cutlets are lightly breaded. Served with lightly buttered egg noodles with a traditional Marsala sauce. This was wildly popular last winter.

Thursday, February 17
Meatloaf
Garlic Mashed Red Potatoes
I am changing up this meal a little. Instead of the Twice Baked Potatoes, I am going to put the meatloaf with Garlic Mashed Red Potatoes. I will put the Twice Baked Potatoes with something else. This meat loaf has become such a popular dish, that I really can't manage both the meatloaf and the twice baked on the same day, both dishes are very labor intensive and it is very difficult to be able to do them both. I will figure out a good main dish that the twice baked will complement well.

Valentine's Day is coming soon!!!!

Valentine's Day is just around the corner. It is on Monday this year. I am offering a treat for your sweetheart. A chocolate cake and 10 hand dipped chocolate strawberries. Here are pictures of my cake and dipped strawberries. (Photographs courtesy of Emily Burr. She's amazing.) The cake is very moist with a milk chocolate fudge like frosting with lots of chocolate curls. There are two options for pick-up. I'm sure a lot of you will celebrate on Saturday the 12th, I will do a pick-up on that day at 3 pm. The other option is at the regular pick-up time on Monday the 14th. The cost is $15 for one cake and 10 strawberries. All orders will need to be in by no later than Thursday the 10th by 7pm.

Menu for the week of February 8 to Febraury 10

Monday, February 7
Shredded Pork Burritos
I have made this before. Everyone really likes this recipe. It is very popular.

Tuesday, February 8
Chicken Tortilla Soup
Fried Tortilla Strips
Jalapenos and Cilantro
This soup is a new recipe. If you liked my Chipotle Ranch this is the soup for you. Just enough chipotle to add flavor and not take your head off. I'll be sending home some jalapeño and cilantro separate for those of you who want it.

Wednesday, February 9
Roasted Chicken with Late-Summer Vegetables
Pan Sauce
I have found, with some trial and error, that the dark meat chicken works MUCH better with this recipe. The chicken stay moist and tender and has a ton more flavor than white meat. The vegetables are wonderful. The pan sauce finishes it off beautifully.

Thursday, February 10
Beef Bolognese
Creamy Polenta
Yes, it is the polenta. After much begging and pleading I am putting it back on the menu. I only served the polenta with the bolognese one time. I took it off the menu, but because of MANY requests it's back on. Bolognese and polenta are a prefect pair.
